At roughly the same time that the books arrive in Kolkata, the rest of the distribution team travels from California to New Delhi and by overnight train to Bodhgaya. With two days preparation time in Bodhgaya, the team begins to secure the unloading area, first obtaining approval from the Mahabodhi Temple Management Team to place the texts inside the Temple grounds. The size of the book shipments have grown so dramatically over the past three years that we can now fit only ten percent of the texts within the temple compound. The remaining containers are usually stored at the Nyingma Monlam monastery, some two kilometers away from the main point of distribution.
