World Peace Ceremony
Our natural state of being is awareness: an awareness which is not of anything, but which is an all encompassing state of pure experience

Tarthang Tulku

As night falls in Bodhgaya

In 1989, Tarthang Tulku (known to his students by the traditional title of Rinpoche) organized and sponsored the first World Peace Ceremony at Bodhgaya, India, where the Buddha attained enlightenment. Known in Tibetan as the Monlam Chenmo, the World Peace Ceremony filled a real need and became an annual event, attended today by more than 20,000 people each year.
